Both groups were honored by having the students on the Peregrine staff write stories praising them for their aid in keeping up the school. The cafeteria ladies did their best to provide wholesome, nutritious lunches for the stu- dents. Now for the big question. Why is the picture to the left turned sideways. Well you see this is the only picture we had of the custodian, and efforts to get back together toward the end of the year for another shot proved to be unsuccessful . . . They were too busy to take time for a good vertical shot. -A CUSTODIAI' Back left to right Nancy Fleglene Mary Anne Schrader, Ruth Marsh, Liz Ann Parma, Nancy Haeglin, Barbara Jopplin, Doris lfalkinberg, VIVQIG Fltt Dorothy Marth Estelle Potts Floyce Woods. The counselors, perhaps, have the most important job in the school. It's keeping up with every student's grade. They also are very helpful with helping students overcome their prob- lems. Miss Sadie Woodard is the fresh- man counselor, but is friends with stu- dents of all levels. She spends much of her time in helping students pre- pare for their future. Mr. Joe Bright deals and counsels with students, but most of his stu- dents have already completed that first year. Miss Aubin keeps busy arranging all the college entrance examinations for thejunior class. Mrs. Shelton spends all her time preparing seniors to take that first big step into the real world. Administrative Assistants aid the administrators with the function of their duties. These people tend to develop close relationship with many students. They are more than associates' they are friends. Karen Goss was in her first year as nurse here at J.V. In the course of a day she would handle stomach aches, head- aches and occasionally a real emer- gency. Sandra Walker is not only the princi- pal's secretary but a very nice lady. Shirley Robison was the registrar, most of her time was spent sending, receiving, and updating transcripts. Becky Sims was the counselor's secre- tary. She attempted to turn the waiting room into a mini greenhouse in her spare time. Sandy Hoeppner worked her first year as secretary here for assistant principals Hopper and Wilson. Claude Flanders worked her sixteenth year for the district. She worked under assistant principals Smith and Goodson. Helen Moncrief was the security or green lady as she was nicknamed by the students. lt was our first year to have a security officer which is a new school board policy. Dolores Shultz moved to a full time position as financial secretary this year. T IST TS ST SS P U 5 Z uw -I T P 1' 4 rn Karen Goss Nurse Becky Sims Counselor's Secretary Claudie Flanders Asst.
