What ls The Lapidary Rock Club? Lapidary Rock Club meets today is a common announcement. However, what is Iapidary? The dictionary defines Iapidary as a person who works at cutting, pol- ...WNW ishing, or engraving gems. The Iapidary Flock Club is organized to interest students in supplementary geology activities. Members engage themselves in the polishing 1, l of rocks, trimming rocks, and making gemstones. All of ' K which are made into jewelry. Requirement for member- ship is simply to have an interest in rocks and minerals. Officers for the club are Cara Cooper, Pat Kennedy, and Lorin Thomas. Mr. McCarthy is sponsor. Trica begins the cheer Get On the Goodfoot at a basketball game. ,. ... ..,,.., The cheer Color Shout was performed between halfs at a basketball game by Paula, Trica, Janna, Tami, and Nancy. 1 - .5 AQ High in spirit the Junior Varsity Cheerleaders boast the morale of several sports. During foot- ball season the cheerleaders jump, scream, paint posters, and perform at pep rallies supporting not only the junior varsity players but varsity alike. Through rain and freezing winds the cheer- leaders are always backing their football teams. During basketball season the cheerleaders chant to push the players for another score. As basket- ball season ends, baseball begins and the cheer- leaders are out to cheer. Junior Varsity cheer- leaders are always cheering to support J.V. sports. Between second and third quarters at a basketball game Beth signals for the cheer to begin. 143 - Organizations
