Members learn how to speak the German language as well as the cultural background, traditions, and surroundings of Germany. During November members attended the Wurstfest in New Braunfels. Good Sportsmanship League G.S,L. Officers: Kelly Boze, Donna Barhorst, Nancy Rica, Pam Surles, and lngrid Hence. The Good Sportsmanship League was developed to promote good sportsmanship throughout the 16--4A district. Any student interested in promoting good sportsmanship at sports events may join. Members present gifts to other schools at football games and go to other schools to promote good sportsmanship. This year, the G.S.L. won as the Best Sportsmen of our district. The Junior Engineering Technical Society go to many contest and con- ventions that help students wanting to further their skills in the areas of mathematics and scientific fields. Some members attended the tenth annual Offshore Technology Confer- ence. The conference is the world's largest annual meeting devoted to off- shore resource recovery, and it pro- vides a unique opportunity for high school students to view some of the applied technology and equipment that is used in multi-billion dollar industry. Also, club members sold candy during the week of February sixth. Candy sold consisted of gummy bears, mints, Tolerones, and Kinder-Kaubonbons all of which came from places such as West Germany and Switzerland. .ms .
