Although they clicl not have an impressive recortl of wins this year, the team still accomplished its main purpose, which is to give actual playing experience to as many players as possible. This victory made future opponents realize that, even though it was reported to be a weak and inexperienced team, the Orange and Black was still dangerous because of the ever present will to win . JERSEY SHORE 0 Away BELLEFONTE 21 The Bulldogs went into this game riding on the crest of a two-game winning streak, but as the game progressed, the Shoremen just eouldn't get into high gear. When the smoke cleared over the opponents' field, the Bulldogs found that they llllfl yet to Will an LlVVlly gillne. JERSEY SHORE 13 Away SAYRE 6 This up-state team will long remember the Bull- dogs, who, playing in their best form, dashed the hopes of the Sayre team by handing them their only defeat of the season. Sayre took this loss hard, since the defeat came from a team the Sayre- men thought would give them their easiest game of the season. JERSEY SHORE 21 Home BLOOIXISBURG 0 With the scalp of an undefeated team on their belts, the Shoremen returned to their home field to defeat the llloomsburg eleven easily. By so doing, the Bulldogs remained undefeated on their home field. JERSEY SHORE 12 Away lX4ILTON 13 The Shoremen lost this heartbreaking game by one point, when, in the final seconds of the game, they failed to put the ball over the line after driving deep into enemy territory. This was the closest and probably the hardest fought game of the season. This game found both teams giving their all to present an amazing display of brain, brawn, and skill. JERSEY SHORE 13 Home SOUTH VVILLIAIXISPORT 6 By defeating the Mountaineers the Shoremen assured themselves of winning more games than they lost. This has been a standing record ever since Ken Hart took the helm of the Bulldogs. JERSEY SHORE 12 Home TYRONE I3 The Bulldogs wound up their season by their only loss at home. This gave them a season record of six wins and live defeats. And so the Orange and Black gridmen put their equipment in moth- balls with these words on their lips- VVait until next year!
