An Oldsmobile convertible was borrowed from Grimes and Sons of Ashland for the occasion Immediately preceding the game, the convertible made its appearance and drove around the field so that Queen Elizabeth andher attendants could greet the spectators. A float was placed in the center of the field for the coronation ceremonies Crepe paper, napkins, and chicken wire were very cleverly used to make a beautiful background of blue and white on the float. The football team awaited the Queen's 8PFlV81 and greeted zer as sle and her attendants took their places on the float The girls wore suits and had corsages of white chrysantkemum except the Queen who carried an arm bouquet of chrysanthemums After captain Lowell Lutz had crowned Queen Elizabeth, he was in turn presented with the football for the game The float was removed to the side of the field where Queen hlizabeth and her atten ants watered the game with Walnut Creek 24 S um Hip Hip Hurray ' U ll' VF' wi 'A 1 1 Q J 2' can ' o :f,' ' '- ' . .I 3 'E V, nz O X u .W W L ' - - u H Z ' . .
