This year has been a bright one for thc members and their audiences for they have been proudly sporting new uniforms dressed in deep grey with bright orange trim from head to toe. They have stood out in the brightness ol' their new addition. With concerts and numerous marching maneuvers for many occasions, they have again chalked up a wonderful year to their list of achievements. We are mighty proud of our Marching Band--they received a 1 rat- ing at both the District and State Music Festivals this spring. They also took a pitcher named Lee Smith, who struck out the side in every inning except one. He faltered in the third and let two Gooding batters pop to the first baseman. APRIL 28 at FILER Larry Brackenbury and Howard Green were the heroes in Jerome's victory over the Filer Wildcats. Green collected two doubles and a single, while Brackenbury hit a triple and a single for four tries at the plate. MAY 2 at IEROME The Tigers either lost their big bats or the knack for using them in their game with Twin Falls. The Bruins scored what proved to be the winning runs in the third inning when they pushed three across on two singles, a hit batsman, and a triple. The game was put on ice with six runs in the fourth. MAY 4 at IEROME Buhl capitilized on seven walks and a hit batsman to push seven runs across plate in the sixth inning. They added four more in the seventh on three walks and two singles. MAY 8 at TWIN FALLS This was probably the most thrilling game of the season for both teams. Both Jerome and Twin Falls scored. a run in the first inning. There was no more scoring until the last of the seventh, when the Bruins scored the winning run on three singles. MAY 10 ut IEROME Lee Smith came through with another shut out in Jerome's final game of the season with Filer.
