The result is harmony and happiness in school. There is hope that some day the nations of the world will follow this pattern of human understanding, which has developed at our school from experiences together where each gives and takes a little. The next few pages reveal this pattern as it has developed at our school from the beginning. 42 George Balsam Carol Argurieco Steven Becker Sandra Arnold Ronald Binder Patricia Barban John Bostelman Annette Barkey William Bertagna Judith Barkhoefer Ted Brenner Doris Bower Robert Brown Gail Bruce Ted Cassens Barbara Clark Norman Crass Delores Cutrell Ronald Dotson Judith Czern William Drew Doi-is Davis Don DuRa11 Elaine Drew Jesse Elliot Brenda Campbell fl ,l s 5. .-1. ,, . i, W J l Us 49 av W .ew A I ff. 3 -. Venerable seniors consider this the long ago , but is it? Time takes flight. Childish ways are replaced by more serious thoughts. The desire for fun is levened by a hunger for learning. The setting was affectionately known as the Poison Pot otherwise named the Elite Tearoom, where the college students gathered for food, fun and ........ sh! shl, that is why the administration wanted to close the place. Toasty , the proprietor, KCarolyn McConkeyl understood all problems, especially from the student angle. She was tolerant with un- happy Joe Burke fDon Driemeierj who suffered from restrictions: with Pinky Hamilton, fGerry Kralemanj who had to raise two hundred dollars: and with Connie Ashton, QDelpl-line Hartmannl who needed a date for the Prom. Ogden Oggy McClosky QBob Dierkesl was the student with a scientific theory which altered the entire situation, even to thawing out frozen band leader, Cliff Hayward, Uohn Mathewsl. College fun makers who rolicked through their parts involved Ebb Dunham, fJulie Tellmanl and Flo Dunham Ua-n Finkel happy-go-lucky college sisters: and Shirley Bradford fGayle Roeverl a campus belle who sometimes failed to see the funny side of things. Sugar Lou Jackson Uoyce Lee McCollum! swayed the group with her pretty clothes and southern accent. Linking these coeds to the stern college staff was Monica Bates lSunny Hornickl who carried tales which brought unhappy results from Dr. Pillsy, lBi1l Curriej president of the college, and his strong supporter, Miss Emily Ross Uoan Swebodal, Dean of Women: and naturally from Mrs. J. Worthington Bates KCarol Vogelsangl Monica's mother. All ends well as students and faculty reach an understanding and every- body has the right date for the Prom. Many are the days that these seniors will reminisce and laugh again from house lights out to curtain fall. 86 Civi1izati0n! I feel just like a snake on roller sk ates, 'hgl-I ,nu :UIIII l hglul..'
