Dedicated C A. Mr. Harelson, principal at Jennings High School, dedicated many trying hours speaking to various clubs and classes. B. Mr. Delacroix and Mr. Harelson discussed the outcome of the football game. C. Mr. Harelson, along with Coach Cormier, Coach Fain and his daughter Sabra, focused his interest upon the basketball game. Mr. Delacroix Assisted the Student Body A. While James Kratzer completed writing his admit slip, Carl Lavergne waited patiently for Mr. Delacroix to sign his admit slip. B. Mr. Delacroix explained to Karlette Jones the principles of signing out of school. 11 Office Personnel Held Responsible Positions A. Mrs. Evans took a break from her busy schedule to smile at the camera. B. Gloria Zachary found time to talk while typing some work for Mr. Delacroix. C. Shelia Quebedeaux and Jackie Perrin checked on students who were absent. 12 Counselors Aided Students in Achieving Personal and Educational Goals A. Mrs. Thibodeaux was assisted by Mrs. Gaudet at one of the many class assemblies. B. Mrs. Gaudet checked the Freshman absentee list daily. C. Wendell Miller, a student teacher in Mr. LaPoint's class, helped Brenda Kately and Carolyn King with a question. B. Smiling happily, Mrs. Tietje held a cactus plant that was grown in her biology class. C. While doing her student teaching, Darlene Dasch conducted many of Mrs. Lindsey's speech classes. D. Coach Van Hook explained an algebra problem to his class. E. The camera caught Mrs. Perkins' attention as she prepared to give her typing class a timed writing. F. Mrs. Bowers, a student teacher from McNeese, often prepared books to be returned to the shelf. G. Acting as sponsors for the Beta Club banquet, Mr. and Mrs. James Ward, Jr. enjoyed the delicious meal served. H. Mrs. Harelson, substituting for Mrs. Ward, read over the class roll while Keith Reich amused himself with a yard stick. I. This year JHS received help from media room workers, Datie Cespiva, Veronica Riggs, Mary Deshotel, and Cathi Soileau. J. Mending a library book, Mrs. Burgess took time to look at the cam era. K. Helping Beth Brummett with her geometry. Miss Woods a student teacher, momentarily glanced at the camera. 27 School Staff Cafeteria Workers Mrs. Vernice Peloquin Mrs. Thelma Castille Mrs. Luma Guillot Mrs. Lilly Babineaux Mrs. Henry Daigle Mrs. Lucille Roy A. Mr. Mervin Doucet could be seen cleaning many rooms in the late afternoons. B. Mr. Charles was always seen working hard at beautifying the school area. C. Mr. Coleman's duties varied throughout the year in keeping the school in shape. D. While organizing a class room, Mr. Russell Doucet paused and smiled at the camera. 28 Was Busy A. Eleven of the school's bus drivers were (First Row) Howard Mire, Eddie Francis, Edmund Tizeno, Grant Clement, and Curley Richard; (Second Row) Thomas West, Minos Broussard, Cyprein Manuel, O.J. LeJeune, Huey Forman, and John Reed. B. After many years of service to the school, Mr. Wallace Roy retired. C. Four more of the school bus drivers were Grace Lawins, Curley Simon, Alvin Lopez, and Arthur Eastman. 29 Jennings High School A. The 1974-1975 Senior Class officers were Marshall Hawkins, president; Suzonne Defacroix, vice-president; Shelly LaFleur, secretary; and Keith Bourque, treasurer. B. Senior Student Council representatives were Suzonne Delacroix, Clay Coco, and Shelly LaFleur. C.
