1 MR. DONALD KENNEDY B.S. USL Driver Education Only if students obey the safety rules will they help in preventing accidents. Parking places were marked off in the front and back parking lots for more room and safety, but the lines will not help unless students observe them. Mr. Kennedy points out cars that are parked wrong to Wesley Says and Donald Lejeune. Informed Drivers Are Safe Drivers Besides learning about the fundamentals of driving, the driver's ed. students learn some of what goes under the hood. Betty Pepper and Linda Neal watch attentively as Mr. Kennedy shows them the fan belt. Henrietta Sittig and Randy Peloquin talk to Mr. Kennedy for a minute before getting behind the wheel of their driver's ed. car. Adjust your seat, put on seat belt, adjust rear view mirror, lock the door, release the brake, step on the clutch, put in neutral, turn the ignition, and put it in first are steps known backwards and forwards by Mr. Kennedy's students. Glenda Miller has almost completed them and is ready to drive, while Karla Jones patiently awaits her turn. 28
