Music, the Universal Is Food for the Language, Soul FRANK J. RICARD, JR. B.A., La. College McNeese Chorus PAUL A. MYERS B.M.E., McNeese M.M.E., LSU Instrumental School Music LEFT: Val Holloway. Johnny Adams. D.H. Wilson. Dee Dee Henry, and Geneva Gotreaux informally sing as Mr. Ricard accompanies them. The cornet section, made up of seven instruments, composes a vital part of our band. Without these players, the music of the band would not harmonize so well. In Mr. Myers' second hour class, he can give individual attention to each member. These students have recently started taking band, and this helps them advance rapidly. The chorus class goes over one of the many selections which they will use for the Christmas Concert, a yearly presentation.
