French, a Language of South Louisiana MR. TERRY J. MAYEUX B.S.. LSU French I, II One of the first French assignments is a simple French composition which each person must say before the class. Fran Boudreaux is giving her composition which is entitled Mes Amies ( My Friends ). An important part of French I is learning to have subject and predicate agreement. Barbara Bailey and Gloria Lejeune are writing sentences on the board to demonstrate this principle. At the end of the year, French students are expected to be able to takc simple dictation. Mr. Mayeux is dictating a lesson to his class. To pass a test, one must be able to read the instructions which are written in French. Mr. Mayeux is writing the instructions for his fourth hour class.
