Our Principal, Mr. Simmons Mr. Simmons, principal of our high school for the past twenty-one years, has been able to deal wisely and effectively with the problems of the individual student and the student body as a whole. Because of his experience as a principal, coach, and teacher, his impartial decisions have not only endeared him to our hearts but also have written him as one of the greatest assets of our school. Some of the problems which he has had to face and pave the way for include club day, the frequency of the meetings and the effectiveness of the clubs; the increasing enrollment of our school, the feeding of the students in our small cafeteria, and scheduling the students, so many of whom are college bound. Besides working with these problems and their solutions, Mr. Simmons has always had time to talk individually with students. These accomplishments, traits, and his unselfishness have led us all to nourish an affection for him which leads us to say Thank you, and Best Wishes for a well deserved retirement. LEFT: Mr. Simmons and Mr. Brown discuss the effectiveness of debate and drama. RIGHT: Mrs. Evans, our school secretary, gives a check to Mr. Simmons for his approval. 10
