Girls' Phys. Ed. Pictured above are the basketball activities in which both the girls and boys partake during basketball season. At left, the girls are shown in a warm-up exercise before actual playing begins and at right the boys take position for a jump ball. Warm-up exercises begin each class. These exercises help the student to perform better in the activities which include baseball, volleyball, and tumbling.

I Mrs. Wilson shows the Freshman girls slides to help them broaden their horizons in Home Economics I. Home Economics II helps girls learn the basics that they will need for being homemakers in the future. The senior girls took time out of their fifth period classes one day to vie for the Betty Crocker home-maker of Tomorrow. Here we see the girls taking the test in the J. H. S. cafeteria. Driver Education MR. JAMES WILSON B. S. , M. Ed. . U.S. L. Driver Education Keep your eyes on the road” is a very important slogan for classroom and actual driving work. Above Mr. Wilson gives last minute instructions to a student. At left, a driving class is pictured before it takes off for real driving experience. Each year the cars used in the Driver Education program are donated by Bubba Oustalet. The long white trailer which appeared on the JHS campus about February was purchased by the School Board to aid driver education students of Jeff Davis Parish. A part of the class is now spent in the simulator. 30
