Departments Agriculture - 18 Drivers Education - 30 The departments of Jennings High School form the roots of knowledge that formulate leaves of wisdom in its students. These roots are formed by a variety of courses and curriculum which help to prepare the student for later challenges and goals to be conquered in life.

Maintenance The maintenance department at JHS is a very important phase of our high school. The bus drivers faithfully transport approximately 597 students through good and bad weather to JHS. Our cafeteria workers have a tremendous job of feeding 379 students daily. Our janitors help the school in numerous ways. They are always ready to render any service needed. 'Should we paint the flag pole? Another problem for our busy janitors. Mr. Merven Doucet, Mr. Wallace Roy, Mr. Eli Miller. Bringing children from surrounding rural homes to school is the task of the bus drivers. O. J. Le-Jeune, Cortez Manuel, Claude Manuel, Claude Lejeune, Oran Smith and Howard Mier. Our cafeteria ladies. Mrs. Lucille Roy, Mrs. Maggie Monic, Mrs. Gladys Dupuis, Mrs. Luma Guilliot, Mrs. Vernice Peloquin. 16

Agriculture and MR. M. E. BLANCHARD B.S. . LSU Freshmen ag. boys take the teasing and do the dirty work. Here they are studying the things every farmer should know. An efficient, self-sustaining farmer needs to know many of the fine arts besides how to plant and harvest a good crop. These boys are learning how to weld various types of farm implements. Agriculture I Agriculture II Agriculture III Agriculture IV What would an agricultural class be without a garden? It could easily be compared to a typing class without typewriters. The truck garden enables the boys to learn not only about their crops but also about caring for machinery. 18
