Exciting aromas come from the cooking department as students learn to cook on all types of ranges using modern equipment. In the sewing classes a spacious area is provided for students to use the most modern equipment as they work individually or collectively on projects. 24 Agriculture MR. M. E. BLANCHARD, B.S. J.H. S. livestock judging team, Bill Davis, Butch Racca and Eddie Broussard, used their ability gained in Ag. classes. The Ag. boys take great pride in their garden as you can see. Commerce MISS FERN HIMLER Here students are shoVn as they are practicing their shorthand. Because of its increasing prominence in the business world, shorthand is becoming even more popular at JHS. Typing is said to be a must, and these business leaders of tomorrow are quickly and confidently mastering their machines. Bookkeeping is important in the modern world of business. Realizing the importance of such education, these students work hard to increase their knowledge. Physical Education A girls' P. Special Education Driver’s Education The bulletin board in the driver’s education room is filled with current visual aides that help each student to understand better the problems of safety. MR. JAMES WILSON The Driver's Education course at JHS consists of one-third theory and approximately two-thirds actual driving. This program increases technical knowledge as well as practical experience. At the left Mr. Wilson instructs students in driving.
