Courses in agriculture are offered to Jennings High School boys throughout high school. In them one learns the principles of agriculture, maintenance of farm implements, craftsmanship, and good citizenship. One also learns how to run a farm. Agriculture MR. M. E. BLANCHARD, B.S. COACH LOUIS GAUDET, B.S., M. Ed. Physical Education Left: the first hour boys' physical education class lift weights under the supervision of Coach Harelson. The year's program is coordinated so that both the boys and girls are introduced to a variety of sports, including football, basketball, track, weight lifting, tumbling, volleyball, and others. Realizing that a healthy body makes for a healthy mind, the P.E. program is set up in order to give each student a maximum amount of participation. At left the boys are employing their skills at woodworking. At right they practice counting by selling and buying groceries. Many valuable educational lessons are learned from this group's literary and manual training. At left, we see the group gathered around the piano with their teacher Mrs. Firestone in a song fest.
