COACH LOUIS GAUDET, B.S., M. Ed. Physical Education Left: the first hour boys' physical education class lift weights under the supervision of Coach Harelson. The year's program is coordinated so that both the boys and girls are introduced to a variety of sports, including football, basketball, track, weight lifting, tumbling, volleyball, and others. Realizing that a healthy body makes for a healthy mind, the P.E. program is set up in order to give each student a maximum amount of participation. Tantalizing smells are always coming from the cooking department, where students learn to prepare various dishes which are not only wholesome but also appetizing and attractive. In the morning and afternoon, the home economics lounge is open to all faculty members; and coffee and pastries are served. Another service this department renders to the school is the holding of receptions after P.T.A. meetings and other school functions. In the sewing department students learn the basic fundamentals of dressmaking. They learn how to select fabric, interpret patterns, make their dresses, fit and finish them. Courses in agriculture are offered to Jennings High School boys throughout high school. In them one learns the principles of agriculture, maintenance of farm implements, craftsmanship, and good citizenship. One also learns how to run a farm. Agriculture MR. M. E. BLANCHARD, B.S. The above picture shows some of the agriculture students planting potatoes at the agricultural farm. At right other students study the basic principles of cattle judging.
