x M. Af! J -1 df jmewmal One day a hush will fall, the footsteps of us all will echo down the hall and disappear, But as we sadly start our journeys far apart, a part of every heart will linger here, And the days of joys and sadness in the halls of 1. B. 1. Will live with us forever and be ever in our praise. Oh how our Alma Mater speaks to us! How sad its melodic words seem to be, but oh how true they are! When we started school 12 years ago, life began to take on a new meaning for us. We were awkward and shy and at first school was a terrible thing to us. It took us away from our ac- customed roaming and playing in a carefree manner. It seemed to deprive us of our only happiness. But after school became a part of our daily routine, we grew to like it. This inevitably happens when a person is taken from a self-centered environment and placed with others in the same plight. We loved school be- cause we were eager to meet new friends and to grasp some un- known facts which were new to us. Oh how wonderful it will be when I can read my own bookf, we thought to ourselves. At this stage in our lives we were partial to no-one. We talked and played freely with everybody and anything. But as we grew older, we began to make up societies of our own. The boys would vouch never to talk to a girl and the girls would do the opposite. If only we could have been able to take a peek into the future! How silly our antics would have seemed. We soon grew out of this stage and approached another. It was the time in our lives when we seemed to be awkward and out of place. It was at the time when we were finally growing up. Our hair always seemed to be out of place and between periods we would run to plaster it dovwi with water. This was the period when Cupid's arrow seemed to strike the same heart every other week. The last stage in our school lives came upon us very sud- denly. It was in this stage that we. developed into thinkers. We began to become more serious and aware of problems. We began to wonder what we were going to do when we got out of school. We had to decide on a future. Our lives seemed to be always on the go. This continuous hum-drum is a part of the present and will still be around when and after we graduate. After graduation, we will go our own separate paths. Many will go on to further their education, some will take up jobs, others will be married, and still others-will join the Armed Forces. No matter which of these fields we take we will always think back over our school days and compare them with what we are now. When we do this there will be a few laughs, a few blushes, and also a few lumpy throats. These memories will forever remain a part of us. It is with this thought in mind that we the Seniors of 619563: publish this yearbook. In it we have tried to capture all the im- portant events of our final year of school and have tried to pre- sent them in such a manner as to continue their place in our hearts as cherished and memorable occurrences.
