mm, Mapa-. Mrs. Thomas, Miss Dorothy Sheftic, Miss Donna Sheftic. Twelve years of schooling completed! Con- gratulations, seniors. This certainly is an achievement. An achieve- ment, however, to what purpose? It is an achievement in preparation, not an accomplish- ment. Skills have been mastered, knowledge acquired, principles learned, ideas absorbed, ha- bits developed, and ideals instilled, all, largely, for future use. If you conscientiously assume the duties, obli- gations, and responsibilities of a citizen in a de- mocracy, if you enter a trade or profession se- lected on the basis of your interests and ability, and are therein worthy of your hire, if your evervday living is wholesome and stable, if you discipline yourself to do the things you ought to do and leave undone the things you ought not to do, if you live not unto yourself alone but for others as well, then, and only then, can it be said that your education paid big dividends. Your life will be the measure of the worth of your education. Let it be of great price. Iames B. Dietz . 4 13 glu t me-if ia. r- e. Ai
