I OUR CAPTAIN Lee Hunter the star center and captain of this years team was elected captain of next year s team He was high scorer for the Som erset Cambrla District and was probably the high 1nd1v1oual scorer of the state His total for this season was 462 points Lee is a Junlor 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs around 145 pounds We are proud to note that ln the history of our school he IS one of three boys to receive a let ter his Freshman year Our Basketball Games Our first basketball game was on De cember 8 played at home against Hoov ersvllle By winning the game we thought We started the season with a good beglnnmg Tne final score was Boswell 28 Hooversville 21 On December 11 Stonycreek Twp. came to Boswell and apparently both sides put up a good fight. The game ended with the score being a tie' Boswell 37 Stonycreek Twp. 37 On December 15, we traveled to Som- erset Twp. and for a reason worthwhile because we won the game with the score being: Boswell 51 Somerset Twp. 25 We took our next Journey to Rock wood on December 19 and trying as they could to beat us it was impossible Boswell 37 Rockwood 17 Bedford came here on December 21 to see if they could beat us. In 1943, it was held by Pat Krupperg this year Don Thomas won it by de- feating Bodine from Cheltenham in the 164 pound class. The meet was held at State College on Sat- urday, March 17. Don Thomas lost but one meet this seasong he was defeated by Carr from Clearfield. Before en- tering the finals, Thomas was obliged to defeat Carr in the semi-finals, which he proceeded to do very decisively. Don also won the state championship with a fall.
