OR NOK' XOR ' 'KOH' IO!! IO it Q,eai..C0La1Ur,. 2 llt8 U pside-down Mirror. There are in, existe-naoe today several mirrors, known as Upside-down Mirrors ' and when people look into them they always see themselves dif- ferent from what they are. I had the privilege of lovoeking into onne of these mirrors and of seeing reflections of members of our class. Imagine my surprise at seeing Joe Plriskie tall and tlhinl, sober as a judge, riding in his son's holy automobile. Dorothy Feese witih hair combed up tight and fasten-ed' in a lcnoft o-n top of her headg wtetaring large spectacles and white apron teaching three little chicks to pick up all their crumbs and not let any lying around. Angeline Clrvimone about three and one half feet tall anrd stout trying on a flapper type dress in Ra.lphft0un's exclusive clothing stone. And Mike DeLuca eloquent by delivering la ser- mon on Evil are the Ways of Man, to an audience 'half frightened and ready to run if he becamne mo-re earnest. The next persons I saw iln t-he mirror were just as astonishing but I was past being surprised. There was Mary Louise Mostoller with blue eyes and blond hair trying to darken them by always keeping her rooms dafrloeinedl by pulling down Itahe blinds and turning on the electric lights. Robert Glessner putting Shay Oo-mb on his hair to maloe it curl and carrying a snuff box to keep from sneezing while listening to Lawyer Crusko as he argued the case of Mary Cabidzura in cctu-rt. She was sueing Josephine Hayes for flying her air- plane over 'her garden and scaring the beans so badlly they would not come up. John Zimmerman was a little boy wearing rompers and playing hide and seek with Nina Para also a little girl with wind- blown bob and wearing bright colored ribbons an -her long black tresses. But even more shocking Robert Walteis wearing green ties and singing, My Wild Irish Rose, to a Spanish sefnofrfita. Ansd. Clair Fulton trying to teach a mule not to kick by tying his fnclnlt feet -ttagethielr. Charles Walk- er, his hired -hanwd, said it was nut any use to tie his Hack feet because the mule would kick with botfh and it would hurt tw-ice as mfudhi. There was Ewing Swop-e standing in fnont of a garage selling purple gasoline with pink stripes and his bookkeeper, Davie Griffith, who balanced his books so well there was a difference cgf 573 pin heads. And Idea Mlae Barnlrart and Rosella Kennedy were making mudpies and wearing pink sunhats with caps over their ears. And still more surprises! Opal Driggs had become quite tall and was assistant cashier in Bunnyville Carrot: Bank of which Millard Gardner was the largest depositor of Let-tauce Leaves. Harry Walker was an artist and painted the stripes on the zebra's blacks, while Kenneth Arisman mixed the painlts by turning them upside down. As for myself I was so dazed that I could not even look for my own reflection. Evelyn M. Lohr. Page Twenty-Hs-e
