MEMORIES In the years ahead, you will want to look back and redis- cover lost memories. In this book we have tried to capture all of these memories for you. Things that were so important to us when they happened: the football team’s wins and close losses, Homecoming, the teachers and classes we shared, the school spirit, the buses and the 2:15 traffic jams, the club meetings and projects, the horror of exams and the joy of having substitute teachers, the basketball and the baseball games, graduation ... but mainly, the close triends and acquaintances we all had. We need reminders, for time is a continuing flow, constant- ly changing things as we know them now. People change, often for the better and sometimes for the worse, but we as individuals can do nothing to prevent these changes. We can, however, remember. The joy of gaining new friends or the sorrow of losing few may in the annals of time be lost, but our friends are probably the most important things we have and should never be forgotten. This is the purpose of this book, to enable us to look back and remember all of the people and events that somehow affected our lives. Whether good or bad, joyful or sorrowful, these memories should never be lost.
