ETCHED IN TIME Like “footprints on the sands of time,” our lives are in part brought back to us by the accounts included in this book. As you look through the following pages, relive the past year remembering the good times and the not-so-good times. Do you recall the pep rallies or the time you were almost caught skipping? Remember your favorite teacher or the day you were half a minute late to class and you got a half hour of detention? Who could forget the football games we almost won or the prom or Graduation or... As I am reflecting on the past year and trying to decide what to write to you, the student body, my memory is crowded with all that has happened at Jenkins. These reflections are too numerous to mention here, but if you find a familiar face or scene in these pages, feel joyful or perhaps shed a tear. This book will then have served its purpose — to offer you a meaningful reminiscence of life at Hershel V. Jenkins. Its joys and sorrows are our own and should reflect a part of us that is too precious to be forgotten. UPPER RIGHT: So many colleges to choose from: I wonder which is the best one for me.
