FRANKLIN so that he won't be counted tardy to his next class, vw 171' '- Counselors Offer Planning and Advice The counselors at frown help us in many ways, Whenever :t student has a problem, whether it be major or trivial, our counselors can always be counted on to help in any way they can. In the lower grades, they try to help students plan their schedulesg as we move up, they keep us informed on such subjects as scholarships, vocational opportunities, and colleges. Through it all, they still have time for a smile, an encouraging word, or an affectionate pat on thc back. Mr. Russell, our instmctional coordinator, works with the entire faculty to insure that every possible ave- nue is pursued to carry out effective teaching. Assistant Princqals Supervise Students ana' Faculgf The assistant principals at jeffersonrown are among the finest any- where. Putting in many long hours of hard work each day are Mr. Sex- ton and Mr. Mathison of the Senior High and Mr. Hoffman of the ,lun- ior High. Mr. Sexton is responsible for such complex areas of school adminis- tration as computer master scheduling, grade reporting. and attendance. In addition to all of this, he handles the disciplinary actions affecting juniors and Seniors. XVorl-ting with Mr, Sexton is Mr. Mathison, who is in charge of transportation and school activities. ln this capacity, he pro- vides an important service to many students. All Sophomore disciplinary actions are handled by Mr. Mathison. Although the-Iunior High is always stereotyped as small, it neverthe- less is one of the bigger iobs to be taken care of at ftown, and Mr. Hoffman seems to handle it with confidence and ease, He is in charge of all areas of administration relating to rhejunior High, as well :ts han- dling all disciplinary actions relating to seventh, eighth, and ninth grad- ers. Each of these three gentlemen offers unique qualities of leadership to our school, and each deserves our sincere thanks and wholehearted support. JAMES .
