Someone on the High Q Team or the Math League probably does or could quickly find the answer. One of the teams representingftown in scholastic com' petition is the High Q Team. Consisting of five members, the team practices regularly throughout the year to prepare for its appearance on the local TV program High Q. Mem- bers are chosen after a lengthy testing period of written exams and oral competition on the basis of quick recall and overall knowledge. Members of the team have studied dili- gently :rll year to increase their chances of reaching the finals of High Q competition. We congratulate them for being chosen to represent ,Vtown in competition, and we extend them our best wishes for a successful season. A second team represenringftown in scholastic compe- tition is the Math League team. jeffersontown High School is a member of the Louisville Mathematics League, which recognizes and rewards academic achievement in math. The team has four meets each year against five other schools in its district. We hope the team can follow in the footsteps of last year's team, which placed first in the dis- trier. We thank the members of both teams for their fine work in tepresentingftown. We Strive to Be of Service to Others j'town's Iicoloy Club provides many community services and enioys hiking, camping, and field trips. Last year their major field trip was to Red River Gorge. As one member put it, It was a really fun hike, :md the land was just beautiful. The Human Relations Committee is :tn organization which strives to spread goodwill. Members of this organization, chosen from applica- tions submitted by interested students, consists of a cross section of the student body, with students representing each grade.
