Recording the Year as It Happened. . . In this bit of space, the annual staff would like to share some of the experiences we've had in the production of this book, our live creation! The year started with a bang, Our ideas were extremely creative, and to our misfortune, extremely expensive! But this did not hamper our spirit. After all, the school year was new, and this always causes lots of optimism in everyone, We needed a lot of money, so we decided to have an ads section this year. fBy the way, now is a good time to thank everyone who supported us. To those of you who didn't . , . well, let's just say you'll be our prime target for an ad next yearj. We had our yearbook sale, which could have been better, but no one is complaining. fOnce again, for those of you who choose to look at a friend's annual, we'll be sure to get you in 19785 When the photographers were taking underclassmen's pic- tures, little did they suspect that one of the cameras had a SLIGHT malfunction, which resulted in a more than SLIGHT catastrophe. We had more pictures than we needed in the retakes, which added to the confusion. fOur thanks to the faculty for your cooperation. It made the situation 1005 easier to smile about!5 The annual staff meets one hour a day, which seems sufficient, but a staff member will testify that it takes five minutes to get to class, five minutes to chat with a friend, ten minutes to collect your supplies, five minutes to locate Miss Ruble, ten minutes to find what you did the day before, and ten minutes to figure out what on earth your scribbling means. The remaining time is used to accomplish something! At this rate, one hour is terribly inade- quate for meeting our deadlines. fOh yes, we have deadlines. You didn't think it was this hard, did you?j Our train of thought was lost during the teachers' strike and became nearly irretrievable during the three weeks of snow days. These are just a few of the maior difficulties, not to mention the long list of minor problems, But our inspiration was you, the student who gets up at 5:30, participates in clubs, sports, plays, and other activities, and makes this school the best. Because of you, we fought to the end to make our creation a success. Thank you very much. Moral: Every cloud has a silver for should we say a maroon and white?J lining.
