JANICE MEYERS it in A class of her own. l I A R . . . It may seem difficult to under- stand how solitude can be experienced at a school as large as frown High School. Yet the more than 2300 faces in the crowd remain individuals. The uniqueness of each student's personality iso lates him to some extent from the pulse of student life. Solitude at j'town is seen in a single smil- ing face in the hall. Solitude is experienced by the only person awake during Mr. Dicltcy's U.S. History relccasts. Solitude is studying silently in a corner of the library or walking home by yout- self after school. It is being in a fantastic moocl when everyone else is down. Solitude describes your condition the day that your best friend is absent. j'town students encounter solitude while completing their themes on OTHELLO in the wee hours of the moming. They enioy the solitude of reading a good book or of memorizing lines for GODSPELL, Solitude is sitting by yourself in the cafeteria or indulging in daydreams. Although the maioriry of a sn1dent's time at j'town is spent among crowds, it is solitude that allows him to grow to understand himself. Solitude at frown is worth looking into. , .Check it out.
