Princgval Offers Leadershm, Strives For Unigf William R. Craigmyle, Princgnal Principals have been associated with such evil persons as the warden of a prison or the dictator of an evil and unjust govern- ment. Isn't it great that at our high school we have a principal who is an understanding gentleman and runs our school so well that we can't criticize, put down or blow our tops off at the administration? How did we get so lucky as to have a principal who is always willing to listen to our problems or suggestions? How did we rank so high as to get a principal who puts the good of the students and faculty first and always has a smile and a laugh no matter how terrible the situation?,Iust how did we get Mr. Craigmyle, a man who puts everything he has into making our school the best it can be? I guess we get all the breaks at jef- fersontown. - a student Mr. Craigmyle brings out the best in the people working around him by the faith he places in them. His kind, considerate, and understanding way makes him a superb boss. You better believe it.'i - a staff member I have known Mr. Craigmyle only a short time, but due to the different school activities in which I am involved, I have found that he is a hard working principal with the ability to do many things. He is a very nice person, easy to get along with, and a dedicated faculty member. I think he has done a great job at jef- fersontown High School since he became principal. - a student Craigmyle! Craigmyleli I-le's our man. If he can't do it, nobody can! Corny, but true. The best thing that ever happened to jeffer- sontown was getting Mr. Craigmyle as principal. He is never on your case. He is fair, interested, friendly, hard-working, and sin- cere. What else can we say except to say that we want him to know that he has our love and respect. - a teacher 5 .t'. Assistant Princqyals Supervise Students A nd F aculgf Jeffcrsontown is very proud to have a strong and hard working team of assistant principals who work with energetic enthusiasm throughout the school year. This tremendous trio consists of Mr. Sexton and Mr. Mathison of the knior High and Mr. Hoffman of the-Iunior High. Though Mr. Sexton is famous for his role in disciplinary actions, he also spends an unbelievable amount of time on the Computer Master Scheduling, grade reporting, and attendance. The newest member of the assistant principal team, Mr. Mathison, heads the school's activities and transportation. Although this is his first year at j-Town, he has very quickly become familiar with students and faculty and become involved in their activities. Mr. Hoffman, who works with the junior High, is in charge of discipline for those grades and runs the Free Textbook pro- gram. Each of these three gentlemen offers unique qualities of leadership to our school and each deserves our sincere gratitude and whole-hearted support. james A. Sexton, Senior High Bug 4 Charles Mathison, Senior High 74 Virgil Hoffman, junior High
