Rice, B, Singleton. 2nd ROW: D. Farris, J. Taylor, D. Knezevich, K. Conners, D. Scher- zinger, N, Ledford, K, Zettler. Tam Howard missed going to State Championship in floor exercise by .3 points. She has tremendously improved this year and will be a real contended next year. Pam Otto had an off-and-on season with some very good bars performances and ended up qualifying for the State Championship in vaulting. She placed 7th in 2 days of Regional competition. Pam is a sophomore with two good years ahead for her. Debbie Allen, a petite freshman, had an outstanding year. She qualified for State Championship in bars and beam. During the entire season she placed no lower than 3rd place all-round. Karen Rice, a freshman, took two 1st's in -I.V. floor exercise before an injury put her on crutches. Susan Sprenger, sophomore, gave impressive performances all season, usu- ally finishing Znd place all-round in -I.V. She took a 7.15 score in varsity optional regional which is no small accomplish- ment for a new varsity competitor. Barbara Zwicker, freshman, is coming on strong: as a ,I.V. she finished lst and 2nd all around. Her first places were usu- ally in vaulting where she also tied for lst in a Varsity meet against Stare Reserve Champions Moore High School. The j.V. team has some promising tal- ent too. Both teams are young, talented, and hard working. We have improved, thanks to equipment and place to practice. 7
