Boys' Tennis The jeffersontown High School Boys' Tennis Team had a successful season the past year winning eleven matches and losing only five. The sin- gles team won the county championship and the doubles team won the regional championship. The team had several firsts this past year. For example, it was the first time that ,I-Town has ever had ajV boys' tennis team. Also, twice this season they defeated teams they had never beaten before. The team as a whole, finished seventh out of fifteen teams in the jeffersonville Invitational. A tennis scholarship was awarded to Waltjones who is now attending Lander College in Greenwood, South Carolina. , , 5. The over-all record was 5 wins and 8 losses. The five varsity team members worked very hard and supported each other greatly. Our school can be proud to have girls like these represent jeffersontown High School. Good sportsmanship was always evident at the games. Some girls did not get to play varsity, but they worked out and attended practices and all matches. We can look forward to seeing all these girls return in the new 1975-76 season. 176 '41 if
