SEVENTH GRADE CLASS HISTORY The seventh grade class began the year with eighteen members. Two of the members, Jerry Coblentz and Janet Moore, left us early in the year, leaving sixteen. The Hrst class meeting was called by Mrs, Johnson our sponsor. The following students were elected as officers: president, Wayne Weaver, vice- president, Paul Zehrg secretary and treasurer, Mary Jane Brooks. We had our first class party October 19, 1951. We stayed after school for a Wiener roast, then we enjoyed a hayride. Mary Jane Brooks was elected as our candidate for queen. Some of the boys in our class are on the Junior High basketball team. EIGHTH GRADE CLASS HISTORY In 1950 we started the last six years of our education. It was a great mix-up having five teachers instead of one as we had in the lower grades. Our seventh year of school was started with twenty pupils and ended with eighteen. In 1951, beginning our eighth year of school, we had eighteen pupils. Marleen Cook left us, leaving only seventeen. Mrs. Johnson was our class sponsor. The class elected Fred Lehman as president, Bill Smitley as vice-president, and Carolyn Charleston as secre- tary and treasurer. Fred Lehman, Bill Smitley, Bob Caffee, Fred Cook, Wayne Bollen- bacher, and Dick Smitley represent the class in the Junior-High basketball team. Mr. Forsyth coached the team and scheduled the games. The cheer- leaders backing up the Papooses are Rachael Stolz, Colleen Egly, and Caro- lyn Charleston. Row 4: Dorothy Kneff, James Eischen, Virginia Baker, Carolyn Charleston, Bill Smitley.
