SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 38 Bryce, Martha, Emma Lou, Melvin, and Marion start- ed their long journey through school together at Jefferson while Carl, Col- leen, Miriam, Melody, and Bill endeavored to start at New Corydon, Eu- gene, Alice, Wayne and Emma Jean each attended a different school. Learning enough, and doing our share of damage in the grades we en- tered high school in '46. By the time we were Freshmen our group had enlarged to nineteen. Between hayrides and school work only thirteen recuperated enough dur- ing the summer to enter the Sophomore year. In our Junior year We gained one member and proved to be very in- dustrious by sponsoring the Fall Festival and presenting the play UDIZZY AND DAFFY.' We climaxed the year with the Jr. and Sr. reception. Now as the Senior Class of 1950 we feel that it is a great honor to be graduating in the half-century. Many great events are predicted for the next fifty years which we shall witness. We shall endeavor to do our part in the promotion of things worth while in this age of progress We chose for our President Colleen Kelly, Vice President, Marion De- Boltg Secretary, Martha Baileyg and Treasurer, Alice Myers. We are proud of the fact that 6 of our 7 boys are varsity members and Alice serves as varsity cheerleader. On December 22nd and 23rd we presented the play HBOLTS AND NUTS, also on February 7, we sponsored a chili supper. These were but two of our many activities. As this school year comes to a close we all remember the happy days we spent here and leave with this thoughtg May the other classes of J. H. S. have as many happy days as we have had. Eleven
