We will and bequeath to the junior class our seats in the assembly and classrooms and we hope they will endeavor to fill them as faithfully and as promptly as we have done. We will and bequeath to the Sophomore class any stubs of pencils, erasers, or scraps of paper that we may have left behind us. May they feel ,free to use them and feel, perhaps, that they may, in some mystic way, import some of our great knowledge to them. We will and bequeath to the Freshman class any over looked cuds of gum we may have left adhering to the undersides of desks, banisters, assembly seats or any likely or unlikely places. We have sometimes had to rid ourselves of these in too much haste to be able to pick and choose the most desirable means of disposal. THIRD: The personal will of the individual members of the class of l950 ofj. T. H. S.. I, Kenneth Baber, will and bequeath my way of talking back to teachers to Donna Arnold. I, Flora Barnett, will and bequeath my ability to take a tickling and not get mad to Erma Swayer. I, David Cunningham, will and bequeath my ability to crack jokes in all my classes to Don Runkle. I, Richard Dillman, will and bequeath all my quietness fexcept when around Libby Graftj to Dave Miller. I, Wilmalou Draper, will and bequeath my Geography book and love for Geography to Norma Shambarger. I, Ronald Fishback, will and bequeath my frowning in class to jerry Bernard. I, Charles Fouts, will and bequeath my ability to play basketball to Harold Cassidy. I, janice Howell, will and bequeath my very short hair to Marabel Kraning. I, Jackie johnson, will and bequeath my love of playing a clarinet to Lois Dunnuck. I, Georgia jordan, will and bequeath my ability to play a piano to Mary Kline. , I, Ethel Mae Keyes, will and bequeath my very slow speech to Marjorie Snyder. 13

Senior Class Will Ladies and Gentlemen, Teachers and Friends, Upon the behalf of my client, the Class of 1950, of jefferson Township High School, of the city of Mexico, County of Miami, State of Indiana, I have called you together upon this solemn and serious occasion to listen to their last will and testament, and to receive from their dying hand the few gifts they have to bestow in their last moments. Cut so rapidly loose from life and finding so much to attend to before the end should come upon them and realizing, at the same time, that they have no ' longer any time left to spend in cultivation of their own virtues, they deem it best to distribute them with their own hands to those friends to whose needs they seem best fitted. We hope that they may be accepted, not as worthless things lavishly thrown away because we couldn't use them, but as valuable assets to those who receive them and reminders of the generosity of our free and full bestowal. x FIRST: We bequeath our abilities, properties and characteristics as follows: We, the Seniors, will and bequeath our quietness in Geography Class and all our chewing gum to Mr. Miller. To Miss Fisher, we will and bequeath our ability to learn lines of plays on short notice. To Mr. Powell, we will and bequeath our ability to win ball games in Typing Class. Mr. Young, we will and bequeath our shooting from the side lines at basketball games. To Miss Mast, we will and bequeath our good behavior in English Class. To Mr. Shambarger, who has been our faithful instructor through out our High School course, we bequeath a sweet and unbroken succession of restful nights and peaceful dreams. We are sure that it has been a hard strain on him, for Seniors are said to be, at all times and under all conditions difficult to manage. But he has done his duty, and indeed, now shall he have his well earned reward. SECOND: We, the Seniors of 1950, will to the jefferson Township public school our loyal school spirit, ready response, and hearty co-operation in all things. 12

I, Elvin Myers, will and bequeath my ability to stand and talk to girls on the telephone to jim Bacon. I, Mary Overfield, will and bequeath my desire to flirt with the boys to Merna Ault. I, Charles Rozell, will and bequeath my light brown hair to jerry Bernard Class Prophecy One December day near Christmas, I boarded the train at Pittsburg for Mexico, my old home town. As I came into the car, whom should I see but Janice Howell of J. T. I-I. S. days. just then she saw me. So she immediately told me to sit down beside her that we might have a good talk about our schoolmates of '50. Janice told me that she was editor-in-chief of the New York Bugle, Her husband, Ronald Fishback, was her business manager. janice herself, aside from her success as city editor of the paper, was making a name for herself by her short, short stories, running in the True Story Magazine.
