EST JEFFEBSO CLASS UNITED FTEB TEN YE The Deshler Hilton was the scene of a reunion for the class of 1955 They came from far and near ar riving in vehicles from a 1957 Dodge to a 1965 Cadillac and a private plane Among the first to arrive was Melvin McC1ask1e He flew in from Michigan where he is the manager of the General Motors plant He has been very busy trying to get into the big front office Nancy Harbage showed up a little later than most of the others Her old 1957 Dodge just wouldn t start Raymond Cole flew up from his ranch 1n Texas to Join us in the fun After the dinner he took us all for a ride Ill his 1965 Cadillac Everyone was glad to welcome the Reverend Robert Isaacs back into our group Most of you have probably heard of the wonderful work he is doing. It's very nice to know that one of our friends is devoting his life to the teachings of God. Nancy Morgan came to help us celebrate. She is a private sec- retary for a doctor in Dayton, Chic. Scott Stratton added some humor by telling about his radio and TV experiences. Bob Ridwell drove in in his 1965 Jaguar He s made quite abusmess out of selhng them For a hobby he has a small 300 acre farm which he is keepmg handy for his children The plane carrying Janet Jackson from New York was a little late She has been doing some modeling at Macy s Department Store The governor of Ohio let his sec retary Ester Burkitt have the day off because he knew she would like to be with us Donna Lowe who is the champion baton twirler of the U S drove into town this mornmg from Iowa She was quite happy to be back with all her friends Mr and Mrs Bob Crompton Beulah Stuckey were present also Beulah has taken time from her household duties to receive herB A Degree in college. Lucille DeLeon became fountain manager at Mellotts Drug Store two years ago, but she was forced to give up her position. Marriage and motherhood were more important. Mr, and Mrs. Gene Ellinger ap- peared as happy as ever. Barbara is now a very proud mother and a part time R.N. Pat Sowards also came to the party She didn t have far to come however she lives in Columbus and is a private secretary to none other than Mr Lazarus After everyone became re acquainted entertainment was fur ished by songbirds Willa Cham bers Barbara Ellinger and Connie Newbury In spite of the years of separation they were still able to harmonize A business meeting followed It was decided to have another re union in 1975 The place and time will be announced later lillilliililiill CHAMBERS BREAKS WCIQLD S SWIM RECORD Willa Chambers local 1955 alumm today swam the English f Channel in 17 hours ghd and 17 minutes. This is a new record which was formerly held by Miss Cham- bers in 1965. annonnnnns ELLINGER WITH STRATO'LADY Eugene Ellinger pilot- . ed the plane, Strato- T 4 :qi Lady, around the world ' in a record breaking flight The time was only 32 hours.
