NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The National Honor Society was organized in the early 1920's by the National Association of Secondary School Principals because they felt that there was a need for recognition of outstanding qualities in high school students. Our high school joined the group in 1952. When choosing members, four things are considered: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. Students who maintain this membership through their senior year are awarded pins bearing the insigna of the society.
