In eighth and ninth grade they are electives. Some boys elected cooking this year. This year all four home economics teachers teach cooking and sewing.

The shop courses taught at Jefferson are graphic arts, metals, woods, general shop, electricity, power, and drafting. A11 seventh grade boys take beginning drafting one semester and general shop the other. In eighth and ninth grade, industrial arts courses are electives.
