Mr. Garwood is the instructor of the Eighth Grade Band. There are ninety-one members of which only one is a girl. However, this is the first year girls have been allowed in the band. This is the last year the term Eighth Grade Band will be used as beginning next year it will be called the Cadet Band. At present they meet during the fourth hour of each day.

In order to get into the Seventh Grade Orchestra, 3 student must pass an aptitude test. He or she must also know how to play the particular instrument he wishes to play in the Orchestra. Mr. E. K. Hart teaches the stringed instruments and Mr. Saarinen teaches the other instruments. This yearts Orchestra Concert was given on April fourth.
