FIRST ROW: Carol Carlson, Kris Hallblade, Barb Hallblade, Sharon Ketcham, Eddie Prochaska, Rebecca Stuck, Dee Tyler, M. B. Erwin. Here at Jefferson, we have had an Ensemble for three years. There are twenty members, each with several years of piano, organ, or voice lessons. These students perform at the Christmas program in December, and at the Spring Concert in April. The members decide what kind of costumes they will wear, and they pay for the costumes themselves.

The Concert Band plays at all home basketball games as well as pep and letter assemblies, and marches in the Memorial Day and Veterans, Day parades. Their special feature is the annual Band Concert, held this year on May 9th.

In order to get into the Seventh Grade Orchestra, 3 student must pass an aptitude test. He or she must also know how to play the particular instrument he wishes to play in the Orchestra. Mr. E. K. Hart teaches the stringed instruments and Mr. Saarinen teaches the other instruments. This yearts Orchestra Concert was given on April fourth.
