SECOND ROW: Glenda Swanson, Ron Miller, Barb Hallblade, Sharon Ketcham, Grant Hoffman, Kevin Anthony. FIRST ROW: Craig Dunaway, Carol Mackey, Chris Hauser, Donna Struven, Bobbi Phillips, Barbara Bengtson, David Renk. The Glee Club is open to all students who are interested in singing. It was started by a group of students who wanted to have a Glee Club, if they bought their own music. So, since 1956, the students at Jefferson have had a Glee Club. Mr. Erwin has been the director since this time. The Glee Club now has 68 choir robes which were bought by selling candy.

FIRST ROW: Mike Gessner, John Sulak, Tina Hallberg, Linda Steele, Glenna Kilgore. Not Present: Carl Arco, Mark Pofelski, Tom Frehse. The History Club originated in the fall of 1959. It started with two or three of Mr. Bordetfs classes that decided they would like to have such a club. This year the History Club met on alternate Thursdays. This years History Club officers were Steve Bimm, President; Tina Hallberg, Vice President; Linda Steele, Secretary; and Mike Gessner, Treasurer. Along with other members of the club, the officers help decide what historical places to visit. This year the History Club visited Beattie Park with its Indian mounds, the Hinchliff guest house which until it was torn down was located on the corner of North Main and Indian Terrace, and Tinker Cottage.

SECOND ROW: Karen Schwartzlow, Roxanne Blomquist, Diane Mellberg, Colette Vourliotis, Paula Peterson, Becky Ring, Pam Corpora. FIRST ROW: Kris Hallblade, Donna Bonham, Linda Hunt, Terri Phillips, Shirley Burrow, JoEllen Strang, Mr. Erwin. This year the Spring Concert was given on April 25, at eight PM. It featured the Ensemble, Glee Club, the Eighth and Ninth grade chorus, and the Seventh grade chorus. A few of the numbers performed were ttAutumn LeavesW tCalcuttaf ttMichellef and ttSpoonful of Sugar? The accompaniment is all done by the students.
