Mr. Birch, Jeffersorfs swim coach, urges more seventh grade boys to participate in swimming activi: ties, because they have a good chance of earning letters, as did John Hjelm as a seventh grader last year. Even though the school turnsout at the swimming meets was low, we won nine out of thirteen meets and came in third in the allecity relays. This year we hoped to recapture the first place title in the City swim meet which we had won in 1960, but Lincoln finished first with 75 points, and Jefferson was close behind with 70 points.
