9-! The 9:.J last year was called Oriental Gardens? The gym was decorated so as to give the appearance of a Japanese garden. Cake, punch, and nut cups were served as refreshments. The servers, who made their own kimonos to wear as they served, were Denise VanDyke, Cindy Kollberg, Marcia Sallman, Barbara Buck, Michelle Palmini, Karen Swenson, Sharon Kuchinsky, and Astrid Kaiser. At the start of the 9nJ all the students went to the auditorium to see the movie thiss of the Vampire. After the movie everyone went to the gym to dance. The KommonsK a local dance group, provided the music. Some students went back to the auditorium to hear the llClass Will and Prophecytl which was read by the lllawyerl', Mike McGhan, and the llprophetl, Carol Taunis. The ltClass Willll is made during the ninth gradersl guidance hours. Each student willed something to someone they thought would want it. The 1966 9nJ will remain in the hearts and minds of the ninth graders of last year as the highlight of their years at Jefferson.
