Dean of Girls When we hear people speak of Mrs. Billingham, Dean of Girls, we naturally think of discipline. Although this is one of her duties, she also selects and supervises assemblies, has charge of the monitors, coordinates cafeteria seating, and makes up the school calendar. Guidance Cou selors Mr. Harold Gambr i . i r. John R. Williams University of Iorthem Illinois Illinois, M.Ed. . , University, M.S.Ed. This year there are four guidance counselors. Mr. Williams and Mr. Gambrel have charge of the ninth graders, Mr. Long the eighth graders, and Mrs. Lowman the seventh graders. The purpose of the counselors is to consult with students and helpthem to work out their personal problems. This year Jefferson added two new guidance counselors to the staff, Mrs. Lowman who was previously an Enghsh teacher at Jefferson, and Mr. Long, who was one of our commercial teachers.

Administration This is Mr. Hartts first year as Jefferson's principal. He came to our school in 1959 as our assistant principal. Before working at Jefferson he was a biology teacher n-d assistant principal at West High School and had served for a year as a o-ordinator of the junior high school curriculum commission. This is Mr. Grahamis first year with the Rockford School System. Be- fore coming to Jefferson, he was Superintendent of schools in Lanark, Illinois. Mr. Graham has the trying task of being the Dean of Boys. Some of his many responsibilities are supervising extra activities and working with new teachers. Also, when Mr. Hart is absent he serves as principal.
