Vox Latinae is supervised by Mrs. Odee, Jeffersorfs Latin teacher. Its purpose is to stimulate more interest in that ancient Roman language. The club meets after school on the second Friday of each month in room 219. The members celebrated Latin Week TApril 16-23 by holding a banquet on April let. The officers of Vox Latinae for this year were Mike Petterson, president; Joy Harvey, vice president; Anita Blough, secretary; and Marcia Klank, treasurer. 105

FIRST ROW: Sue Johnson, Sharon Prochaska, Martha Morrow, Pam Kelly, Ed Prochaska, Steve Lundquist. The Future Teachers of America, Jefferson Chapter, is supervised by Mr. Nafranowicz and meets every other Monday after school in room 103. This year the FTA sponsored a ttChristmas Cards to Vietnamii Project. Obtaining donations from many Jefferson students, the FTA members purs chased five hundred cards, which were specially printed with a photograph of our school building. These were sent to Rockford servicemen serving in Vietnam, and many letters and cards of thanks were received from the service: men. The main purpose of FTA is to help students become interested in the teaching profession. The officers this year were Sharon Prochaska, president; Martha Morrow, vice president; Pam Kelly, secretary; and Sue Johnson, treasurer.

The money that they contributed will go for first aid centers, lit: erature and movies for schools, life saving programs, and many other activiu ties connected with the Red Cross. Each home room at Jefferson is represented by one member in the Junior Red Cross. Their adviser has been Mr. James Cahill during this school year. RED CROSS REPRESENTATIVES.
