Jhrewahl. . . NURSING-A CHALLENGE AND ADVENTURE 'C This hill, though high, I covet to axcevzdu For most of us entering into nursing, it was truly a step into the unknown. A new life, a new way of thinking and development of qualities unknown to be in our possession and a challenge to those qualities of which we were keenly aware. Being sound of mind, able of body and strong of heart, we struggled down a long and unfamiliar road to attain the goal that was set before us. Having at last reached that goal we feel that we have grown stronger by meeting our challenge and with fond memories depart hence with thankful hearts and eager anticipation of the days to come. IN MEMURIAM DR. HUGH HENRY TROUT, SR. I878-IQSO THE FOUNDER OF OUR HOSPITAL AND TRAINING SCHOOL Dr. Trout's outstanding characteristic was a genius for friend- ship, and he will be long remembered by many men for acts of thoughtfulness or words of encouragement or appreciation. His motto might Well have been the phrase coined by another- I would rather make friends than money-they last longer? His spirit and memory will remain with us, for they are not dead who live in lives they leave behindg in those whom they have blessed, they live a life again and shall live through the years.
