Chapter One OUR TOWN'S GOVERNMENT Our government not only affects the people of Jeffersonia, but the surrounding com- munity and state as well. After graduation, we students will move throughout the country—spreading the knowledge of democratic living we have acquired at Jefferson. For this reason the training received here will be invaluable throughout the remainder of our lives. In times as troubled as these, it is imperative that the youth of this nation learn to know and respect the principles of democracy. The practice of good government here will help in our new homes and businesses in the future. Good citizenship is something not to be forgotten when out of school, but should be strengthened in con- stant use. CALEY COOK President. Fall '50 CHARLES L. JONES Principal JERRY BEALL Presidont.
