DEDICATION Mr. Jenkins, we have nothing concrete to offer you that could compensate for the help and advice that you have given us throughout our high school life. When we came here as Freshmen, yours was the hand that guided our hesitant steps, and, as we progressed through the four swiftly passing years, we came to know you as a friend and counsellor. Through life we shall remember you as a lover of good sportsmanship and a leader toward high ideals. Therefore, we, the June Class of 1935, take great pleasure in dedicating to you, this, our Spectrum.

FOREWORD It has been the aim of the staff to produce a book that can be cherished and kept to remind one of high school days. The staff has endeavored to bring forth a modern note to distinguish this book from others and to afford the readers much enjoyment. Also the staff wishes to acknowledge the help given by the following groups of people in the completion of this book: Art work: Miss Bergsvick, Gordon Jones, J. C. Taylor and Aubrey Chapman. These three boys, under the direc- tion of Miss Bergsvick, have contributed all the art work for The Spectrum. Typing: Josephine McPherson, Margaret Lammi, Mary Moyer and Gertrude Martenson. These four girls have done, in their own time, the typing work for The Spectrum. The staff wishes to take this opportunity to express their gratitude for the splendid work done by both these departments.

MR. BOSSERMAN We, the members of the June class of nineteen hundred and thirty-five, wish to express our gratitude to one who has had much influence throughout our high school years. Our first contact with him was in the Junior Assemblies in which he presided. Later we came to him with our problems which, though often trivial, were treated with the utmost interest and concern. As Vice - principal of Jefferson High School he has set an example of man- hood which we have learned to respect and shall cherish as we go on to other fields. We thank Mr. Bosser- man for his cooperation and we hope that we will be able to live up to the high standards he has established for us. MISS FLEGEL During our first three years at Jefferson, some of us were fortunate enough to have had Miss Flegel as teacher, or we knew her as faculty adviser of the Preppers' Club; but during the past year we have all learned to know and love her in her new position as Dean of Girls and as Girls' League adviser. It is for this last year in which she has given us so much personal attention that we wish to thank her most, and we know that she will continue to be an inspiration to the girls of Jefferson.
