V l I , Although many Jeff students work at part-time jobs, employment in a factory, much less a pajama factory, is a sensation rarely experienced by the fair students of Jefferson. For 37 Acappella Choir members involved in production of the musical comedy The Pajama Game, however, their tasks within the walls of the Sleeptite X Pajama Inc. are ones not soon to be gy X forgotten. 0 323' Beginning seven weeks of rehearsal in Q. late September, cast members, director Q I Richard Jaeger, and various others, set V ' Q 4' - A their sights on November 3,4, and 5, X ' production dates for their show. The union laborers' demand for a seven and a half cent raise only adds to the lovers' troubles. Company President Myron Hasler CBob Martinj, erratic efficiency expert Vernon Hines CTim Dellingerj, and secretaries Mabel CGretchen Strahlej and Gladys CCarrie Henckj complete the side for the management. Rooting for the laborers are Babe's friends Brenda CCarol Kriebelj, Poopsie Uennifer McKenziej, and Mae CTerri Delayj, as well as Max the Salesman CPhil Habigj. Various other garment workers rounded out the cast for AcappelIa's version of the show. What made The Pajama Game unique from any of the 66 other musicals Richard Jaeger has directed? Pajama Game's main difference is that-it dealt with a social issue, as opposed to, for instance, last year's CSweetJ Charity, which was your basic romance, said Jaeger. According to him, getting high school students to understand the mentality of a strike was a tough assignment. Critique books generally describe The Pajama Game as having delighted audiences for years, since its original production in l954. Now that the show has graced Jeff's stage, via Acappella, their version of the musical should stand as no exception. L
