Busy School Demanding Their Energy Sophomores, beginning their high school ca- reers, found Jeff to be a challenge. The tran- sition from Tecumseh and Sunnyside to Jeff was more than just changing buildings. A very new and important time of life had begun for the sophomores. Perhaps the sophomores' greatest adjustment was to their class work. Homework hours had never before reached such proportions for the new Bronchos. They also found that even extra- curricular activities demanded much of their time and energy. Being a part of Jeff life had its bright mo- ments, too. A noon chat before the return to classes was an im portant part of every day at Jeff for the sophomores Counting class votes are Sara Doremire, Barb Burget, Donnie Lyboult, and John Fletemeyer. .Q

Home- coming and the Queen of Hearts dance also brought the choice of pretty queens. ln ad- dition to the new Jeff royalty, fanciful produc- tions of The Mouse that Roared and The Music Man were given by talented Jeff pupils. Throughout the year hilarious pep sessions and several serious and entertaining convocations provided a change from daily routine. At the year's end seniors entered the world of the Oriental at their Prom, Then those same seniors stepped into the greatest change of their lives as graduation led them into a new phase of life.
