Scientists Probe into Noture's Secretsp PHYSICISTS AT WORK: Janet McAdams and Lynn Mason measure the acceleration of a car. Since the first artificial satellites were orbited, great emphasis has been placed on science. Many students utilize the facilities of Jeffls science department. Realizing that today's most dramatic dis- coveries-from television to atomic power- originate in physics labs, students learn to be thorough and accurate. Chemistry students learn symbols and valences. Through analysis and research information concerning matter is gained. Special Science is offered to those students who excell in mathematics and science. Physical science is studied by pupils interested in a general course. Armed with new textbooks and remodeled laboratories, biology teachers present an accu- rate study of plants and animals. Trips, experi- ments, and discussions enable students to attain a thorough body of knowledge in biology. BIOLOGY STUDENTS trace the different shapes of protozoa by Hrst observing them through microscopes.
