Wearing runner up crowns were lake Crenat and Phil Burgess. Other candidates were Lynn Cooper, Tom Carpenter. Cliff Mitchell, Ronnie Bur- gess, Dean Chatham. Bob Jones. Dave Xorwood. Bob Schaiir. ancl John Tuclcer. The theme 4'Fire and Ice preclominated at ,leiius traditionally first turnabout dance of the year. on October 20, 1956. at Allenis Ballroom. Sponsoring the annual affair was the Senior Sunshine Society. President Ann Maple had crowning cluties and Sharon Reed mastermindecl the dance as general chairman. Carol Steely passes an icicle to Jerri Laircl as they prepare for the big night.

This year certainly has been no exception to all the wonderful activities that keep us liustling and lvustling. For some. this year will end with sorrow: for the others the expectation of fun awaits next year. The 1936-1957 school year was filled with dances. parties. sports events. club activities. and stage pro- ductions. This eventful year was started with the annual Broncoette Gallop in October. then horne- coming. and the Red and Black Revue. Convocations at school. cluh activities. the Youth Center and Q'Spot were other points of activity. The traditional Queen of Hearts Danceg the IHSAA State Basketball Finals: the Senior play. The Man Who Came To Dinnerilg the Senior prom, Rue de Parisilg the senior trip and graduation. It was a big year. although it seemed as though we could never stop to catch our breaths during the happy whirl. Page 537
